What a bunch of BS....

Some people need to look in the mirror for their comments instead of biotching at Don Imus...

Imus has always been an equal opportunity offender. Sharpton's only pissed because there's some serious nap happening under that 1968 process he's stuck on.

I don't agree with him being suspended at all, I'm sure its the "politically" correct thing to do.

As bad as it sounds what happened if he called a bunch of white female soccer players a bunch of honkey white trash sluts.... do you think he would get banned for that? Maybe only if he was black, either way doesn't sound like freedom of speech to me. The problem doesn't lie in as much as what he said, he did run his mouth and step over the line, but the problem is in how we as a society treat the "offenses" it's a double standard.

Didn't Jesse Jackson call New York a "himie-town"... spelling might be wrong but he called it a Jewish-town...

Sharpton also used "white racist" remarks about people falsely accused of raping a black girl?

Dude, it's okay for minorities to make fun of whites & other minorities, you did not know this?

It's also okay to let underqualified minorities get promotions to promote diversity, and people wonder why the American economy is going into the shitter?

Just saw he is now fired!!

I think we should boycott anyone who advertizes on MTV Cribs or any network that plays the rap party garbage. After all, that's where the "language" started.

Bunch of wussies in the world...

Time to shut down Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle too!

Tell me who advertises on there and I am up for it, I don't ever watch that garbage anymore. Ever since MTV went "urban" I turned it off..

Man, if he was going to go down, I would rather it be with a big "F--- YOU," than a kiss ass apology to Jesse Jackass.

Or Sharpton.... Bill Maher last night was pretty good, had Sharpton on and that guy will never change his mind. Even though I hate Maher because he is way to liberal.... he did make a good point that the younger generations are making the race gap narrower. Untill the point where anyone can call something a derogitory name and someone doesn't get their panties in a bunch we will never have "racisim" gone in our society. It goes both ways, because racisim is fear of either secluding someone because of their race or feeling secluded because of your race, it goes both ways. I realize that the older generations experienced more problems, so it's harder for them to forget.

It just takes time, 50-60 years ago if you were Irish, Itallian, Polish etc... you couldn't date someone outside of that. Now my "brother" is a BIG guinnea, my GF is a mic and i'm just a dumb pollock. When people aren't sensitive about where they came from or what they are then the barriers in society are long gone. I think Chappelle is the first at breaking that barrier with blacks even if he feels he could have gone too far. The only problem is there was such a long time of oppression of blacks that barrier will be the hardest to cross. Unless there is a new group that feels like they are the most oppressed, problem is it seems like instead of trying NOT to be that group anymore in this country groups fight over who is the most oppressed so they get the special treatment.

Hey that's my thoughts, but my view can't mean **** because I'm a white male, supposedly America gives me everything for free :dunno[1]:

Apparently a DJ in PA got canned because his phrase that pays for the day was "nappy headed hoes"

Wow, people really need to get a life. Then again I got booted from LS1tech for calling Tony and John a bunch of greedy morons who only know enough about cars to write a check for them.

And in reality, every law in America that has anything to do with race, you are the low man on the Totem pole

Why is that again? Oh because thanks to the generations before us only special interest money gets anything done FOR THEM in this country.

I'm just hoping that with enough of us in the younger generations we can push to have the moderates run the country again. I'm getting sick of liberals who can't keep an eye on their husband and bible thumpers TRYING to run this country.... I think people who are disenchanted with the current government are looking for an answer and they don't seem to see it in the spineless liberals out there, and can't deal with these moron bible thumpers either. The best thing IMHO that can happen in 2008 is McCain and Gulliani run against each other, I don't think we will have the first black or female President unless Powel runs and that's never going to happen.

Don't even get me started on WHY we are at war either, I could write a longer essay on that then on how motors ACTUALLY work, or valvetrain design. It's not all about oil either, even though some good might come out of Exxon and it's prinicpals lining their pockets with our $3.00 a gallon gas. Come on E85! We need to have more corn powered cars in this country, give some power/$ back to the farmers.

Anyways....

sh**, I hope so. Otherwise, we're just a turd circling the bowl.

Anyways....
Small point of fact: that $3 / gallon is here because of moronic laws and regulations which make it basically impossible to drill or refine gas domestically. We are sitting on top of lakes of it, and it could be cheap as dirt. But, no, everybody thinks these environmental wackos are completely harmless and we just give them their way. So therefore we have to buy it from dictators, who pocket the money and use it to make war on us. All so that the tree huggers can live in their fantasy world.

And E85? Total BS. Costs more than gas even after uncle sam throws billions at it. Lots of people getting fat off the taxpayer on that one. Fact is if you lifted all restrictions on drilling, refining, etc, you'd see we'd have cheap gas and would SELL it not IMPORT it.

Anyway, ahem, this is supposed to be about Imus.

WTF, man. I heard the clip and what he said wasn't that bad at all. He just said that one of the teams was a bit ugly and the other team was good looking. As far as I could tell, both teams had ladies of "African-American" descent on them. He was just calling one team ugly, and the way he talked it was obviously in verbal quotation marks. Did he put his foot in his mouth and make a sort-of racist sounding comment? Yeah, you betcha. Nobody said the man was a genius. But does that excuse the big top three ring circus that's going on? Oh, hell, no.

Now, of course, he's just getting fired, which his employer has the right to do, not banned by the FCC. But why did the employer fire him if not fear of the wrath of the FCC? It'd be naive to think it wasn't because of the FCC and its arbitrary BS enforcement (i.e. Janet Jackson)
