Hi John...
Recently an 04 GTO knocked down 475 RWHP with a set of ET215 heads, the "StreetSweeper" cam kit and a set of Kooks headers. Very stout package...

Wow....... Thanks Ed. Was that with a fast intake or a stock one.....
The reason I ask is my bud has a 01 Z06 with stock intake, cam, ported stock heads, and full exhaust and just ran an 11.56 at 124.3mph....
I am looking to switch over to an ls1 and would like to be in that range to be competitive with him.
His car really impressed me you could drive it acroos the country if you wanted, A/c, 27mpg,stock interior. It really made me start to think about an ls1 car but I wasn't sure if I could do what his car did still retaining the driveability and stock weight without going to a power adder, cause I know the camaro's are a bit heavier than the z06's.

To be honest... had my wife allowed me to modify here C5 I would have done that. Light and tons of parts available. Why not look for a 98-99 used C5? They hold their resale value and are everywhere for sale...
