GM uses .080 to .100 from what I've seen...
I couldve went alittle less I guess,Seemed alittle more quiet at .080

I would Ed but I only have a basic laptop on home
I will try and get Dale to do it from the shop
I still wanna try the Weiand but it looks like I'm going to have to settle for the Fast...
Would be nice to pick up 15/15 from the intake change :)

Which brings me to something I've been wondering about....
How much is the FAST actually(IF EVEN???) helping on these "small" cams? I wonder if I wasted my money. Sure wish I had a spare LS6 manifold to do some testing with.

Doesn't mean that's the right amount of preload

The green curve is a out of the box FAST.... red being the same cam LS2 intake, blue being a smaller cam

I would expect very similar results with a smaller cam.

I dunno, something is incredibly wrong with my engine. Only 400hp on two different dynos with all of my mods? Something isn't right.

Check your original post.... that blue line is the LS2 manifold and VRX3 on a 6.0L GTO

I guess I"m confused.
I thought the graph timeline is:
Blue is the VRX3, stock LS2 manifold
Red is the bigger cam, stock manifold
Green is bigger cam, FAST manifold
I dunno, maybe I'm too stuck up in the dyno game. Hell, Rob on here has the SAME mods as I do but NO Fast92 and he's putting down more power...I dont get it.

Before and after FAST 92 swap. It was a mild cammed 06 GTO auto. Mild enough it didn't have a stall converter.

REALLY Mild converter!
So we are seeing 22rwhp from the out of the box FAST there? Williams example was only 16rwhp.... that was a LS2 manifold correct? They are pigs compared to the LS6!
I'm working on a Dart/FAST 92 setup now that I'm going to see if William will dyno with the LS2 vs. the ported FAST 92. I really think this manifold is pretty killer so I want to see the difference.

I think the small cam LS2, with these Darts and a ported FAST can beat Willards setup!

Just want to clarify that my numbers werent locked as I expect to be more around 395/380 locked (15 loss in hp by 12 gain in tq lockinf verter)but that wont happen until I get her back on the dyno..
I will be testing the Weiand intake real soon if it ever comes out
Dont worry Bret at .080 my PL is perfect ;)
Oh one more thing,we just tested 1 3/4 in Pacesetter VS 1 7/8th ARH on a 500RW 402 and gain nothing going to the larger header...In fact we lost 12RWTQ,no biggie though as this car is getting a fuel system and a F1A :)
