I followed that thread for a few posts until my head hurt. People a lining up to contradict themselves and spew misinformation. It's OK to be stupid but some are abusing the privilege. :(

WTF????? That doesn't even make sense in the reading. So you have small runners and stall at the big valve???

How about this for cam only? I've heard that New Era's dyno is not very happy, I think Ed can attest to that....

Looks like there is low end TQ there and well over 400rwhp and it's DRIVEABLE OMG, not a huge 240° cam either....

I've given this cam to a lot of guys and every tuner tells me that it just eats air like crazy thru the midrange, meaning it's doing it's job much better than other cams can do.

Then you get guys like this....

I get a kick out of hearing the MS3 is a BIG cam. 237/242 @.050 .603"/.609 that makes peak torque at 4,800:confused:
You tell everyone how great the part throttle is and how much torque it makes, then after the amazing acceleration in 1st gear you get your ass spanked by some MS3 cammed car passing you up and driving away from you and then you can say, well he has a really big RACE cam in his car:jest:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Someone needs to inform tough guy that LS motors all peak TQ in that same RPM due to the intake manifold not the cam!

Look at these AMAZING TQ curves of the MS3

Notice this one is STD

When the right cam can make your PEAK TQ value at 3500rpm till HP peak, your **** don't run. YOU WILL lose to a car with 30ft lbs average more than what you make in the RPM you race in period.

The one IMPORTANT thing these guys don't get is that the big cams don't make any average HP/TQ in the RPM range that they race in either, let alone where you would stomp it from a roll.

Plain and simple, the BIGGEST cams make the MOST power.

Obviously they DON'T!

Oh and the ICING on the cake just for Ed's entertainment....

my Camaro doesn't run I'm building a 25.2 tube frame 4 link setup and going BBC.

Race cars, real ones at that are a different animal. They are the ones you pull with a winch and a Silverado. Only thing is they need to run and have a motor in them first.

So from here on out I'm also going to call out anyone to come to the next NHRA/NMCA/10.5" so I can race you with the car I have sitting in my garage. That will prove I know more that ALL OF YOU!!!!!:devil[3]:

I guess he is thinking that you should have the small runners to make more TQ since you lose that with the BIG cam?

Exact situation you said would happen if he put more valve in them without fixing the port.
